The Creation of the Light of Fatima (AS)

The Creation of the light of Fatima (AS)

Mohamed bin Jareer Altabari Narrated that Ibn Abbas said: A noble man of the Arabs came to the Messenger of Allah SAWA and said: O messenger of Allah, with what were you made better than we are when we were created from the same water? The Messenger of Allah replied: O brother! When Allah, glorified is His name, liked to create us, He said a word and that word become light, and then he said another, which became a spirit then He created me and created Ali, Fatima, Alhassan, and ALhussien. Then from my light He created His throne (universe), and I am holier than the throne, and He created the skies from Ali’s light and for that Ali is holier than the skies and created the moon from the light of Alhassan and for that Alhassan is holier than the moon, and He created the sun from the light of AlHussain and for that AlHussain holier than the sun. Besides He almighty, had plagued the earth with darkness but the angels could not bear that so they complained about that to Almighty Allah (sw), so He spoke to Gabriel (AS) saying: “take some of light of Fatima and put it in a lamp and hang it above the throne”. Gabriel (AS) did so and the seven skies and seven earths flourished and the angels of the skies prayed and prostrated. Allah (sw) then said “I swear by my might, pride, honour, glory, and elevated position, I will maintain the blessings of your glorification and reverence of Fatima, her husband, and her children and those whom love her until the Day of Judgment, and for that she was called “Alzahraa’”.

The Prophet’s Speech on the Importance of Knowledge

Konstantin_Kapidagli_002Mu’ath bin Jabal narrated that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said the following.

Acquire knowledge, for surely it leads to fear of Allah. Seeking it is an act of worship (‘ibadah); studying it is praising Allah; seeking it is jihad; teaching it to whomever doesn’t known it is an act of charity(sadaqah); and giving it to its people draws one closer to them. Knowledge points to the permissible (Halaal)and the forbidden (haraam); and it is a shining light pointing the way to paradise It comforts the lonely, befriends the estranged, and talks to you in seclusion. It is a guide through prosperity and adversity; it is  a weapon against enemies; and it is the best of friends. With knowledge, Alláh raises people to high stations, making them leaders in goodness, whose steps are traced. Their example is emulated, their opinion followed. The angels like to sit with the people of knowledge, surrounding their wings; and everything dry or wet, -fish of the sea and animals on land, – will ask Allah to forgive them. Knowledge gives life to the heart in the midst of ignorance, and illumines vision in the darkness. With knowledge, God’s servants become the elite and reach the highest degrees in this life and in the hereafter. Contemplation with knowledge is equivalent to fasting (sawm); spending time to study it is equivalent to standing at night in prayer (qiyam); duties to relatives are fulfilled by it; and through it the halaal and haraam are known. Knowledge precedes action(‘amal) and action always follows it. The fortunate ones attain it and the miserable ones are deprived of it.

The Messengers of Peace and Love….

255px-Spas_vsederzhitel_sinayJesus, upon him be peace, was a lover because God is Love. Jesus would be seeking peace between enemies through Love. He would say, “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1 John 4: 7-8

Muhammad was also a lover and a peacemaker and one who sought harmony between people, all for the sake of God. He said:

“Son, if you are able, keep your heart from morning till night and from night till morning free from malice towards anyone”; then he said, “Oh! My son, this is one of my laws, and the one who loves my laws verily loves me.”

“A perfect Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands mankind is safe, and a true emigrant [muhajir] is one who flees from what God has forbidden.”

“You will not enter paradise until you have faith; and you will not complete your faith, till you love one another.”

“Faith is a restraint against all violence, let no Mu’min commit violence.”

The Prophet, saw, also said,

” Anyone of you who sees wrong, let him undo it with his hand; and if he cannot, then let him speak against it with his tongue, and if he cannot do this either, then (let him abhor it) with his heart, and this is the least of faith.”

“He is true who protects his brother or sister both present and absent.”

“The proud will not enter paradise, nor a violent speaker.”

“What actions are most excellent? To gladden the heart of a human being, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the wrongs of the injured.”

“Someone said to the Prophet, “Pray to God against the idolators and curse them.” The Prophet replied, “I have been sent to show mercy and have not been sent to curse.”

“I found this inscribed on the hilt of the Prophet’s sword: “Forgive him who wrongs you; join him who cuts you off; do good to him who does evil to you, and speak the truth although it be against yourself.”

Prayer of the Prophet

How wonderful is that which You have tested us with.

Glory be to You, how plentiful is that which You have given us.

Glory be to You, how plentiful is that which You have bestowed on us.

O Allah Increase for us our sustenance

and for the poor believing men and women

and for the poor Muslim men and women.

Abd Allah ibn ‘Amr said,

“Rasulullah (SAW) was never obscene or coarse.

Rather, he used to tell us that the best among us were those with the best manners.”

Anas  said,

“I served Rasulullah (SAW) for ten years. During that time, he never once said to me as much as

‘Oof’ if I did something wrong. He never asked me, if I had failed to do something,

‘Why did you not do it?,’

and he never said to me, if I had done something wrong,

‘Why did you do it?”

Muhammad preaching

Abu Hurairah said that Rasulullah (SAW) said,

“If one has good manners, one may attain the same level of merit

as those who spend their nights in prayer.”

Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah forbiddeth you only those who warred against you on account of religion and have driven you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that ye make friends of them. O My servants….

It was relayed on the authority of Abu Dhar al-Ghifari(ra) that the Prophet(sas) said, of what he related from his Lord, Magnified and Exhalted be He, Who said:

“O My servants, I have made oppression unlawful for Me and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. O My servants, all of you are liable to err except for those whom I guide on the right path, therefore seek guidance from Me so that I should direct you to the right path. O My servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except for those whom I feed, therefore seek food from Me so that I may feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except for those whom I provide garments, therefore seek clothing from Me so that I should clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day and I am there to pardon your sins, therefore seek forgiveness from Me so that I should grant you pardon. O My servants, you can neither do Me any harm nor can you do Me any good. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns become as pious as the most pious heart of any one amongst you, it will not add anything to My Power or Kingdom. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns become as wicked as the most wicked heart of anyone amongst you, it will not decrease anything from My Power or Kingdom. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns gather together on a sector of land and all ask of Me and if I were to give everyone of them what they asked, that will not in any way decrease what I have anymore than a needle decreases what is in the ocean when it is put into it. O My servants, these deeds of yours which I am recording for you I shall reward you for them, so he who finds good should praise Allah and he who finds other than that should not blame anyone but himself.”
