The Creation of the light of Fatima (AS)

Mohamed bin Jareer Altabari Narrated that Ibn Abbas said: A noble man of the Arabs came to the Messenger of Allah SAWA and said: O messenger of Allah, with what were you made better than we are when we were created from the same water? The Messenger of Allah replied: O brother! When Allah, glorified is His name, liked to create us, He said a word and that word become light, and then he said another, which became a spirit then He created me and created Ali, Fatima, Alhassan, and ALhussien. Then from my light He created His throne (universe), and I am holier than the throne, and He created the skies from Ali’s light and for that Ali is holier than the skies and created the moon from the light of Alhassan and for that Alhassan is holier than the moon, and He created the sun from the light of AlHussain and for that AlHussain holier than the sun. Besides He almighty, had plagued the earth with darkness but the angels could not bear that so they complained about that to Almighty Allah (sw), so He spoke to Gabriel (AS) saying: “take some of light of Fatima and put it in a lamp and hang it above the throne”. Gabriel (AS) did so and the seven skies and seven earths flourished and the angels of the skies prayed and prostrated. Allah (sw) then said “I swear by my might, pride, honour, glory, and elevated position, I will maintain the blessings of your glorification and reverence of Fatima, her husband, and her children and those whom love her until the Day of Judgment, and for that she was called “Alzahraa’”.

Imam ‘Ali (as) quoted Fatima az-Zahra (sa) as saying:

“The Messenger of Allah (SWT) said: ‘Fatima, he who praises you,

will be forgiven by Allah; Who will make him my companion where ever in Paradise I may be.”

‘Noor bint e noor zawj e noor umm e noor o noor’
‘Light is She, the daughter of light, the wife of light, the mother of light and light.’

Fatima as is Noor.

Her sons, Hassan and Hussein, are Noor.

Her father, the Prophet Muhammad, saw, is Noor.

When Lady Fatimah asked her father for a servant, The Holy Prophet said:

“Shall I not tell you of something better than that which you asked of me? I am telling you the words, which Jibra’eel Alaihis Salam has told me. You should say Subhan-Allah (Glory be to Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala) 33 times, Al-HamduLillah (Praise be to Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala) 33 times and Allahu Akbar (Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala is Great) 34 times.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 5362]

This is called the Tasbih of Fatima and brings blessings upon those who recite it regularly.

 Shahzaadi Fatima (sa)

The Messenger of Allah Hazrat Muhammad (pbuhp) said:

“The Divine Light of Fatima (s.a) was created before the creation of the earth and sky.” So, some people said: “O Prophet of Allah! Isn’t she a human being?” He (pbuhp) said: “Fatima is
a divine being.” Someone said: “O Prophet of Allah! How is she a divine being?” He (pbuhp) said: “Allah the Almighty created her from His Light before creating Adam when the spirits existed. So, when Allah the Almighty created Adam, she was presented to Adam.” Someone said: “O Prophet of Allah! Where was Fatima then?” He (pbuhp) said: “She was in a case under the leg of the Throne.” They said: “O Prophet of Allah! What was her food?” He (pbuhp): “It was glorification, the act of saying: There is no god but Allah and the act of thanking Allah. Thus, when Allah the Almighty created Adam and brought me from his seed, Allah the Almighty desired to bring her from my seed. He let her be an apple in Heaven and Jebra’eel brought it to me and said: “May Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you, O Mohammad.” I said: “And may Allah’s peace and mercy be upon you, O my beloved Jebra’eel.” He said: “O Mohammad! Your Lord sends you his Peace (greetings).” I said: “Peace is from him and to him it returns.” I said: “O Mohammad, this is an apple gifted to you from Allah the Almighty.” I took it and embraced it in my chest. He said: “O Mohammad! Allah, the Most Glorious, says: “Eat it.” Hence, I cut it in half and then saw a radiant light and became frightened from it. So, he said: “O Mohammad! Why aren’t you eating? Eat it and don’t be frightened. It is the Light of the Victorious One in the sky and on earth she is Fatima.” I said: “My beloved Jebra’eel! Why is she named in the sky the Victorious One and on earth Fatima?” He said: “She was named Fatima (The Preventer) on earth because she prevents her followers (Shia) from entering Hell and prevents her enemies from loving her and she is in the sky called the Victorious One as the saying of Allah the Almighty: {On the day when believers become glad * by the victory of Allah, He gives victory to whoever He wills.} It means when Fatima gives victory to her lovers.”
