The Messengers of Peace and Love….

255px-Spas_vsederzhitel_sinayJesus, upon him be peace, was a lover because God is Love. Jesus would be seeking peace between enemies through Love. He would say, “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1 John 4: 7-8

Muhammad was also a lover and a peacemaker and one who sought harmony between people, all for the sake of God. He said:

“Son, if you are able, keep your heart from morning till night and from night till morning free from malice towards anyone”; then he said, “Oh! My son, this is one of my laws, and the one who loves my laws verily loves me.”

“A perfect Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands mankind is safe, and a true emigrant [muhajir] is one who flees from what God has forbidden.”

“You will not enter paradise until you have faith; and you will not complete your faith, till you love one another.”

“Faith is a restraint against all violence, let no Mu’min commit violence.”

The Prophet, saw, also said,

” Anyone of you who sees wrong, let him undo it with his hand; and if he cannot, then let him speak against it with his tongue, and if he cannot do this either, then (let him abhor it) with his heart, and this is the least of faith.”

“He is true who protects his brother or sister both present and absent.”

“The proud will not enter paradise, nor a violent speaker.”

“What actions are most excellent? To gladden the heart of a human being, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the wrongs of the injured.”

“Someone said to the Prophet, “Pray to God against the idolators and curse them.” The Prophet replied, “I have been sent to show mercy and have not been sent to curse.”

“I found this inscribed on the hilt of the Prophet’s sword: “Forgive him who wrongs you; join him who cuts you off; do good to him who does evil to you, and speak the truth although it be against yourself.”

Prayer of the Prophet

When the table-spread was laid out in front of the Noble Prophet, SAW, said:

Glory be to You O Allah, SWT,

How wonderful is that which You have tested us with.

Glory be to You, how plentiful is that which You have given us.

Glory be to You, how plentiful is that which You have bestowed on us.

O Allah Increase for us our sustenance

and for the poor believing men and women

and for the poor Muslim men and women.

O My servants….

786

It was relayed on the authority of Abu Dhar al-Ghifari(ra) that the Prophet(sas) said, of what he related from his Lord, Magnified and Exhalted be He, Who said:

“O My servants, I have made oppression unlawful for Me and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. O My servants, all of you are liable to err except for those whom I guide on the right path, therefore seek guidance from Me so that I should direct you to the right path. O My servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except for those whom I feed, therefore seek food from Me so that I may feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except for those whom I provide garments, therefore seek clothing from Me so that I should clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day and I am there to pardon your sins, therefore seek forgiveness from Me so that I should grant you pardon. O My servants, you can neither do Me any harm nor can you do Me any good. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns become as pious as the most pious heart of any one amongst you, it will not add anything to My Power or Kingdom. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns become as wicked as the most wicked heart of anyone amongst you, it will not decrease anything from My Power or Kingdom. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of Jinns gather together on a sector of land and all ask of Me and if I were to give everyone of them what they asked, that will not in any way decrease what I have anymore than a needle decreases what is in the ocean when it is put into it. O My servants, these deeds of yours which I am recording for you I shall reward you for them, so he who finds good should praise Allah and he who finds other than that should not blame anyone but himself.”

Hadith an Nur – The Descent of Light

From Mission al-Noor

translated from the Arabic by Murshid `Ali ElSenossi

Al-Haqiqat al Muhammadiyya – The Reality of Muhammad – is the Light by which one can distinguish Reality.

“The angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day, the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years” (Surah Ma’rij – The ways of Ascent 70:4)

The Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“The first thing Allah created was my spirit”

“The first thing that Allah created was the Intellect (Al-`Aql)”

And he said “The first thing that Allah created was the Pen (Al-Qalam)”

one of the great companions of the Holy Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him), Jabir bin Abdullah al-Ansari, always asked questions concerning the deeper knowledge of Islam. On this particular occasion, he inquired of the Holy Prophet “What is the first thing that Allah created?” The Holy Prophet replied “The first thing that Allah created was the Light of Your Prophet, Oh Jabir.” Then the Holy Prophet continued: “Then He created within that light all goodness and after that, He created everything else. When He created that Luminous Light, He stood it before Him in the Station of Nearness (Maqam al-Qurb) for 12,000 years.
This light He divided into 4 portions. From the first portion, He created the Throne (Al-`Arsh). From the second portion He created the Pedestal (Al-Kursi). From the third portion, He created the Angels that carry the Throne and the Trustees of the Pedestal. The fourth portion He then stood before Him in the Station of Love (Maqam al-Hubb) for 12,000 years.

From this fourth portion He created 4 more portions. From the first portion He created the Pen (Al-Qalam), from the second He created the Tablet (Al-Lawh), from the third He created Paradise. Then He stood the fourth portion before Him in the Station of Fear (Maqam al-Khawf) for 12,000 years.

From this portion, He created 4 more portions. From the first portion He created the Angels, from the second He created the Sun, from the third He created the Moon and all the celestial bodies. Then He stood the fourth portion before Him in the Station of Hope (Maqam ar-Rija’) for 12,000 years.

From this portion, He again created 4 more portions. From one He created the Intellect (`Aql), from the second portion Knowledge and Gentleness, from the third, Success (Tawfiq). The fourth portion He stood before Him in the Station of Shyness (Maqam al-Haya’) for 12,000 years. After 12,000 years, Allah turned His glance upon this light. This look caused glowing beads of sweat to appear upon it. From each of these 124,000 drops of light, Allah created the Spirit of a Prophet or Messenger. Then the Spirits of the Prophets exhaled. From this exhalation, Allah created all the Saints (Awliya’) and the people who will be in perpetual happiness, the martyrs and those who are obedient from among the believers until the Day of Judgement.”

The Holy Prophet continued and said, “So the Throne and the Pedestal are from my light. Paradise and every enjoyment and perpetual bliss is from my light. The Angels of the Seven Heavens are from my light. The selected angelic beings are from my light. The Sun and the Moon and all the celestial bodies from my light. Knowledge, Gentleness and Success, from my light. The spirits of the Messengers and the Prophets, from my light. The martyrs and the conscious people from the result of my light.

Then Allah created 12 veils. That part of my light which is the fourth portion of the fourth portion, stood in every veil for 1,000 years. These veils are the veil of generosity, the veil of happiness, the veil of awe, the veils of mercy and kindness and knowledge, humbleness, dignity, gentleness (Sakinah), patience and realisation, truthfulness. After worshipping Allah in every veil for a period of 1,000 years, Allah caused the light to emerge and He placed it upon the Earth. That light illuminates what is between the Easts and the Wests like a lantern in the darkness of the night.

Then Allah created Adam from the Earth, took from that light and placed it within his forehead. This light was transmitted to Seth (The son of Adam) and from him it passed from one pure soul to another – from goodness to goodness until Allah transferred it to the loins of Abdullah bin Abd al-Muttalib. From him, it passed into the womb of my mother, Aminah. Then He brought me forth into this world. He made me the Master of the Messengers (Sayyid al-Mursalin), Seal of the Prophets (Khatm an-Nabiyyin) and a mercy for all creations (Rahmatun lil `Alamin).

That is how the creation of your Prophet was accomplished, Oh Jabir.”

May the Peace and Blessings of Allah always be on our Master, the Prophet Muhammad and on his family.

To be drawn into the Light of Allah and not be blinded,

O brothers and sisters, repeat with longing and with love:

as-salatu wa-s-salamu alayka Ya Rasulallah

as-salatu wa-s-salamu alayka Ya Habiballah

Heartfelt and profound greetings to your sublime soul,

O incomparable Prophet and uniquely beloved one of Allah.

love for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him…

ImageWe place our hand upon our heart when we speak his most beautiful name, Muhammad, because he is the true human heart—the essence of our own mystical heart, hidden far behind the heart of life throbbing within the human breast. He is not in the desert of Arabia, but in the heart. Love him and you will love all persons abundantly. Fail to love him, and you will fail to love anyone truly. Love him who is the perfection of human love, and you will overflow with love for Allah, Who is the Source of love. Disappear with ecstatic love into the Prophet of Allah, and you will disappear into Allah in mystic union …

ya Shechina!

786

A man was reading Surat al-Kahf and had beside him a horse tied with a long

supple rope. Suddenly, he noticed a cloud approaching him and circling over him,

getting closer and closer. The horse started moving constantly away from the cloud.

In the morning, the man came to the Noble Prophet and told him what happened.

The Prophet responded: “Keep on reading; this was Shechina (Divine Tranquillity)

descending because of the Qur’an.”

She is the One,  who brings Herself  to them as the Essence of Shechina,

   experienced as tranquility in  the hearts of the faithful;

adding faith to their faith;

all Her servants, both in the heavens and the earth are guided by Her commands.

She is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
